Sixteen interlocking dragon scale segments, precision fitted to unfurl from a compact egg into a hypnotic spiral with a single smooth motion. Glide it back together and it closes just as satisfyingly. The Dragon Scale Egg Fidget is one of those things that's genuinely difficult to put down.
The egg sits neatly in one hand. Twist it and the segments cascade apart in a continuous, almost slippery motion — each scale catching light differently as it moves. In silk and gradient PLA finishes, it becomes a different colour with every movement. Made in our regional Victoria workshop in your choice of colour using premium PLA.

The segment count is the key difference between sizes. More segments means a longer, more satisfying unfurl when the egg opens into its spiral. If you want the full effect, go Large.
Choose your colour using the options below. Available in our full range of single colour PLA plus specialty finishes including silk, sparkle, glow in the dark, gradient and metallic. Silk and gradient filaments are particularly striking on this design — the scale facets catch and shift light differently at every angle as the segments move.
Every Dragon Scale Egg is cracked and post-print treated before it leaves the workshop. That means the segments are already loosened and moving smoothly when it arrives. No break-in period, no forcing, no frustration. Unfurl it straight out of the packaging.
