Who is The 3D Print Smiths?

We are an Australian 3D printing business based in regional Victoria. Every product is designed and printed in-house from premium PLA, across a multi-printer workshop running production 24/7. Our range covers articulated dragons, Flexi Friends fidget toys, LED light boxes, drink coasters, trading card accessories, Pokemon collectables and a custom 3D printing service. We are not a reseller or drop-shipper.

Where are you based?

The 3D Print Smiths is based in Tangambalanga in regional Victoria, postcode 3691. Everything is designed, printed, inspected and shipped from our workshop. We ship across Australia and internationally.

What do you sell?

Our range covers LED light boxes (88 designs), articulated dragons (Crystal, Crystalwing, Bamboo, Axolotl and more), Flexi Friends fidget toys (over 100 designs), drink coasters, Pokemon Character Balls, replica Pokéballs, trading card display stands and storage. What material do you use?

We print exclusively with premium PLA (Polylactic Acid), an eco-friendly biodegradable plastic that is lightweight, durable and non-toxic. PLA is safe for home use and produces a high-quality finish. We stock 150 to 200kg of filament at any time across standard, silk, dual silk, rainbow and specialty matte finishes.

What is multi-colour printing?

Our multi-colour products are printed in up to 8 colours simultaneously, with the colours built into every layer of the model. Not painted on. Not stickered. Not dyed. The colours are part of the print itself, which means they will never chip, fade or peel. This is what makes our multi-colour dragons and feature products look so different to standard single-colour 3D prints.

What colours and finishes are available?

Most products can be printed in your choice of colour. Specify your preference at checkout or in the order notes. Finish options across the range include standard PLA, Silk (metallic sheen), Dual Silk (colour-shifting), Rainbow (multi-colour gradient) and a selection of matte and pearlescent specialty finishes. Available options vary by product, so check the product page for the current selection.

Are there imperfections in 3D printed items?

3D printing is an additive manufacturing process that builds objects layer by layer. Minor cosmetic characteristics such as subtle layer lines or slight surface variations may be visible. These are a natural part of the process, not defects. Every item is inspected before dispatch to ensure it meets our standards for appearance, function and strength.

Are your products safe for kids?

Most products are suitable for ages 3 and up, particularly our Flexi Friends fidget range. Some items contain small parts and are not recommended for children under 3. Articulated dragons and detailed models should be supervised for younger children. Specific age guidance is listed on each product page. Light boxes are display items, not toys.

How should I care for my 3D printed products?

3D printed PLA products are durable and require minimal care. Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and prolonged direct sunlight, which can affect colour over time. PLA softens at high temperatures, so do not leave products in hot cars or near heat sources. LED light boxes are for indoor use only.

Are products printed to order?

Yes. All products are printed to order to ensure consistent quality and the colour or finish you have specified. Most orders are produced and dispatched within 24-48 hours. Made-to-order items such as dragons, custom colour orders and bespoke designs may require up to 48 hours of production before dispatch due to printing, heat treatment and quality inspection.

Can I request a custom design or specific colour?

Do you offer wholesale or bulk pricing?

Yes. Tiered discounts apply across most ranges. Flexi Friends and Character Balls have published bulk pricing visible on each product page. For larger custom bulk runs, event packs, school or club orders, or wholesale enquiries from retailers and businesses, contact us with your requirements and we will quote.

Is shipping free?

Free standard shipping on all Australian orders over $40. Orders under $40 are charged at the rate calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. International shipping is available worldwide with tracking on all orders. For full delivery timeframes by state, see our Shipping Policy.

How long does delivery take?

After dispatch (typically within 24-48 hours of ordering), delivery within Australia is 2-6 business days depending on your location. Melbourne metro is typically 2-3 days, Sydney 3-4 days, Perth 4-6 days, with remote and rural areas longer. Express Post is available at checkout for time-sensitive orders.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide with tracked international shipping. Rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. International delivery times vary by country, typically 7-21 business days. New Zealand and the United States are our most common international destinations.

What is your returns policy?

We accept returns on standard (non-custom) products within 14 days of delivery in original, unused condition. Customer pays return shipping for change-of-mind returns.

Made-to-order products including dragons, custom colour orders and bespoke designs are not eligible for change-of-mind returns once production has begun, consistent with Australian Consumer Law for custom manufactured goods. Full details at our Returns and Refund Policy.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your order arrives damaged or faulty, contact us within 30 days of delivery for a free replacement. Send a photo of the damage and your order number to service@3dprintsmiths.com.au and we will arrange a replacement quickly. We pack every order securely for transit, but accidents in shipping do happen, and we will always make it right.
